Day 01: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Your adventure begins in Entebbe, Uganda, where you will be greeted by your guide at the airport. They will transfer you to your hotel, where you will check in and receive a briefing on your itinerary. Afterward, you can rest and relax after your flight.

Day 02: Murchison Falls National Park

Today, you will depart for Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda. Upon arrival, you will embark on a game drive in the park to see some of the Big Five, such as elephants, giraffes, lions, and other wildlife. The park is home to over 450 bird species, making it a birders’ paradise. Later, you will take a boat ride to the base of the falls for a breathtaking view and the chance to see hippos and crocodiles. Don’t forget to capture stunning photos of the falls before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Murchison Falls National Park

Start your day with a morning game drive to see more wildlife, and hopefully spot some elusive species like leopards and hyenas. Later, you will take an afternoon boat safari to explore the delta, with a chance to see more wildlife and bird species. The delta is home to one of the largest concentrations of the Nile crocodile, making it an excellent opportunity to see these prehistoric creatures. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 04: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Kibale Forest National Park, known for its chimpanzee population. Arrive in the afternoon and take a guided nature walk in the park, where you can spot several bird species, monkeys, and other primates. Later, you will have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 05: Kibale Forest National Park

Your day begins with an early morning chimpanzee trekking experience in the park, which is a highlight of any trip to Uganda. The trek takes about 3-4 hours, and you will have the opportunity to observe these intelligent creatures in their natural habitat. You can also spot other primates such as red colobus and black-and-white colobus monkeys. Later, in the afternoon, you will visit the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a community-managed nature reserve that is home to over 200 bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 06: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions. Once there, you will go on a game drive in the park to see lions, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife. Later, you will have dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 07: Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today, you will start your day with a morning game drive in the park. In the afternoon, you will embark on a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, a 40-kilometer-long waterway that connects Lake Edward and Lake George. The channel is home to the largest concentration of hippos in Africa, along with Nile crocodiles and a variety of bird species. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 08: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today, we will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which is home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. After arriving in the afternoon, we’ll take a guided nature walk in the park to learn about the different plant and animal species that call it home. Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is one of the most biologically diverse areas in Africa, with over 120 mammal species and 350 bird species. We’ll stay overnight at our lodge in the park, surrounded by lush forests and stunning scenery, and enjoy a delicious dinner before getting a good night’s rest for the gorilla trekking adventure ahead.

Day 09: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is home to almost half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, and this is an opportunity to witness them in their natural habitat. You will trek through the forest with an experienced guide, and once you find the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing and taking photos before trekking back to your lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you can take an optional community visit to learn about local culture and traditions.

Day 10: Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, you will depart for Lake Bunyonyi, known for its stunning scenery and peaceful atmosphere. Upon arrival, you will take a boat ride to explore the lake and its 29 islands. You can also engage in various activities such as swimming, canoeing, or hiking. In the evening, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Volcanoes National Park, Rwanda

Today, you will cross the border into Rwanda and drive to Volcanoes National Park, home to the endangered mountain gorillas. The drive will take you through beautiful landscapes, and you will have the opportunity to stop and interact with the local communities. Upon arrival at your lodge, you will check in and relax before dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before embarking on your gorilla trekking adventure. Volcanoes National Park is home to a significant number of habituated gorilla families, and this is an opportunity to witness them in their natural habitat. You will trek through the forest with an experienced guide, and once you find the gorillas, you will spend an hour observing and taking photos before trekking back to your lodge. In the afternoon, you will visit the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about gorilla conservation efforts and the legacy of Dian Fossey.

Day 13: Golden Monkey Trekking in Volcanoes National Park

Today, you will embark on a golden monkey trekking adventure in the park. Golden monkeys are playful primates that inhabit the bamboo forests of the park, and this is a unique opportunity to witness them in their natural habitat. You will trek through the forest with an experienced guide, and once you find the golden monkeys, you will spend an hour observing and taking photos. In the afternoon, you will visit a local community to learn about Rwandan culture and traditions.

Day 14: Kigali City Tour and Departure

After breakfast, you will depart for Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda. Upon arrival, you will embark on a city tour that will take you to various sites, including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, the local markets, and craft centers. You can also engage in some last-minute shopping for souvenirs. Later in the evening, you will be transferred to the airport for your departure flight.
