Day 01: Arrival in Entebbe

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, our representative will meet you and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival, you can spend the day at leisure exploring the nearby town of Entebbe, relax on the shores of Lake Victoria, or visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre.

Day 02: Kampala City Tour

After breakfast, we will drive to Kampala, Uganda’s capital city. Here we will visit the Uganda Museum, which has a collection of traditional African musical instruments, tools, and historical artifacts. We will also visit the Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where the Kabakas of Buganda are buried.

Day 03: Murchison Falls National Park

We will depart early in the morning for the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in the wild. After a guided tour of the sanctuary, we will proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, we will stop at the top of the falls, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Nile River as it flows through a narrow gorge.

Day 04: Murchison Falls National Park

In the morning, we will embark on a game drive to explore the northern part of the park, home to lions, giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and other wildlife. In the afternoon, we will take a boat safari on the Nile River to the base of the falls, where you will be able to see crocodiles, hippos, and a variety of birds.

Day 05: Kibale Forest National Park

We will drive to Kibale Forest National Park, a haven for primates such as chimpanzees, colobus monkeys, and baboons. After lunch, we will take a nature walk in the Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, where you can spot various bird species, butterflies, and primates.

Day 06: Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, we will embark on a chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale Forest. We will also have the opportunity to see other primates such as the red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus, and grey-cheeked mangabey.

Day 07: Queen Elizabeth National Park

We will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as elephants, lions, hippos, and buffaloes. After lunch, we will take a boat safari on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward, and offers excellent opportunities to see crocodiles, hippos, and various bird species.

Day 08: Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, we will embark on a game drive to explore the northern part of the park, where you can see tree-climbing lions, elephants, and buffaloes. In the afternoon, we will proceed to the Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions.

Day 09: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

We will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to almost half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas. In the afternoon, we will visit a Batwa community and learn about their traditional way of life.

Day 10: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Today, we will embark on a gorilla trekking adventure in Bwindi Forest. The trek can take anywhere from 2-8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family. Once you find the gorillas, you will have one hour to observe and photograph them.

Day 11: Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, we will depart from Bwindi and make our way to Lake Mburo National Park, which is approximately 4-5 hours away. Along the way, we will make a few stops to stretch our legs and take in the scenery. Once we arrive at the park, we will go on a game drive to see some of the park’s wildlife such as zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, and antelopes. We will also have an opportunity to go on a boat ride on Lake Mburo to see hippos and crocodiles. In the evening, we will return to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 12: Departure

After breakfast, we will check out of our lodge and begin our journey back to Entebbe, which is approximately 4-5 hours away. Along the way, we will make a few stops to buy souvenirs or take pictures. We will arrive in Entebbe in the early afternoon and be dropped off at either the airport or a hotel depending on your preference. This marks the end of our 12-day Uganda safari.
